Minutely Calibrated Statistical Order

Out of 196 posts in the year 2013, 6 are in French, 14 have to do with movies, 37 are from songs, 63 are taken from books, 21 are sayings or quotes, 9 are things I have picked up from people in day-to-day conversations, and the other 47 are from whatever I happen to be thinking at the time. Of the 37 songs, 3 are from Jack White, 3 are from The Red Hot Chili Peppers, 3 are from The Shins, with the others being taken from Frank Sinatra all the way to The Dillards.  Of the 63 book quotes, 24 are from Paris to the Moon by Adam Gopnik, 11 are from Snoop by Sam Gosling, 2 are from Margaret Atwood's The Year of the Flood, and 5 come from Closer, by Scott Schuman, aka The Sartorialist.  Of the 21 quotes and sayings, 8 come from Pinterest, and 7 are different takes on classic sayings (such as Fish Eye View, instead of Bird's Eye View).

There have been 18,252 pageviews since the beginning of KindofMaybe, counting my own views.  Understandable, most views are from the United States with 13,421, followed by Russia with 913, and Germany with 473.  This image shows the world audience: the darker the green, the more people view.

The top 3 most viewed posts this year were Drenched in Awkwardness (comparing a personal style pic with a CD cover) with 79 views, The Sun King's Sun Trap (describing a Poster Design class project) with 63, and One Year Encounting (discussing some figure skating greats) with 42.  The most viewed post of all time is Eclipse Eyes (an ad design) with 466, followed by Part 3: Fast Becoming Legend (sword and sandal epics) with 314, and Top 10: Most Beautiful Movies (the countdown) with 191 views.  This graph shows the number of pageviews per month.

My three favorite non personal style posts from the year are J'adore J'adore (an overview of my time in France), All the Details About Space Science (interior design ideas), and Abstract Expressionism in an Abstract Sense (describing an art history paper assignment).  For personal style posts, Outakes (my true goofy self), Channeling the Greats (similarities in personal style bloggers) and And She Wore Blue Velvet (a photo scavenger hunt) were my favorite.

I look at all of this Statistical stuff from time to time and am always surprised.  I mean, Russians are reading my blog?!  That's pretty crazy.  18,252 views since I started blogging?  Unbelievable.  I don't know about you, but I find all this kind of stuff pretty interesting, and thought I might share.
