Part 3: Fast Becoming Legend

The Sword and Sandal epics take the spotlight for Part Three of the Mammoth Movie Compilation.  Gladiators, Spartan Warriors, Trojan Horses, and The Will of the Gods are the most common topics in this genre, and specifically in Troy, Gladiator, and Alexander.  While all three of these royal ladies followed the toga trend of the time, each is quite different in detail, color, and accessories.  Helen of Troy liked the white and gold look, but experimented by mixing prints and textures.  Lucilla and Olympias kept the draping relatively simple, while also engaging in mixed prints, but each took a lot of liberties in their jewelry, choosing flashy gold arm bands, large dangly earrings, and cuff bracelets.  These were the ladies of the day to watch; they set the trends; they were the ones designers sent their wares to in hopes of getting a little exposure; they were fashion's it-girls.
