High waisted shorts are an interesting phenomenon of which I tend to go back and forth on. Sometimes I think they look great, and really highlight the half-tucked in look that I absolutely love. And you really can't go wrong when wearing them over tights for a fall-time look. Other times I think they look like the wearer is trying too hard and the pairing with another piece causes the high waist effect to backfire. Here are some samples of the good.
