Cake As a Right, Not a Pleasure

Last week my brother Andrew and I went to Nashville's Frist Art Museum to see this summer's featured art exhibit.  And man was it worth the entry fee.  Joining one of America's favorite obsessions, the car, with an industrially artistic style that was sweeping the world during the 1920s, 30s, and 40s, comes this collection entitled Sensuous Steel.  Art Deco wasn't just for buildings like The Empire State Building, it was for cars too.

And what was really cool is that all of the typography, the wall decor (see above), the benches, and even the lines on the floor indicating not to get any closer were impressively in line with the Art Deco style.
