Loft Life

A week ago today I completed the move up to the attic.  Curtains were hung, the bed was dressed in new sheets, and the heat wave subsided, so the temperature was bearable enough for sleeping through the night.  It is pure solitude, an escape into quietness and simplicity, where I can watch our busy front street from the birds eye view of the triptych window.  Last night, it dropped into the 40s, which meant I didn't even have to have the fan on!
