Breaking News. George Lucas sold LucasFilm (and it's sub companies, Industrial Light and Magic and Skywalker Sound) to Disney, who is planning the next trilogy, Episodes 7, 8, and 9, that will not be directed by the creative genius. Shocking. The article states that Lucas essentially was fed up with being hated on and would never direct another Star Wars film ever. I guess that didn't mean there would never be another one. Lucas will stay on as a creative consultant.
Interesting tidbit I didn't know before reading this: Lucas owned the startup that turned into Pixar, which he sold to Steve Jobs, who then sold it to Disney. This confirms one thing: Disney is a creative monster of a monopoly in the film business.
