The High Art of Relentless Optimism

Today I had a strong longing to go to the beach, where the faint smell of salt lingers on the ever-present breeze, where sandcastle construction techniques and examinations of wave quality are the only concerns, where the silky sand cradles your feet as you traverse from the boardwalk to the umbrella to the sea and back to the umbrella, and above all, where there's not a care in the world beyond what is happening in the beauty around you.  I really need to live on a beach.
